Arriving repairs are thoroughly documented for received physical condition, serial numbers, apparent visual damage and any failure information from customer.
All information is recorded into company-wide database and internal work order reference.
Technicians survey unit to determine if it is safe to perform power or partial-power as-received testing. If safe, powered tests are performed to assist in determination of extent and work estimates. It is often required to perform this step more than once after initial issues are resolved.
Customer is provided with cost and work estimate quotation prior to any further work.
After preliminary diagnostics and test survey, units are dis-assembled as required for thorough cleaning.
Repair proceeds including replacement of defective and expendable components or assemblies. High power buss caps and devices are tested for proper value and power breakdown to ensure reliable repair lifetime.
Units are tested under load and utilizing integrated system components when possible. Drives are run with appropriate motors and control devices are exercised to reveal potential failures.
Completed units are quality inspected and packaged in anti-static packaging, where appropriate, for long term storage in factory environment.
